Geoff Sheridan has over 30 years experience working in senior management positions and providing consultancy services to a range of municipal councils, community, public and private organisations. He has an extensive local government background having worked at senior management levels in both metropolitan and rural councils. He has an excellent understanding of the legislative requirements of the Local Government Act and Regulations and an extensive understanding of the other acts and regulations impacting on Local Government. During his career as a Chief Executive Officer of various district councils in South Australia and as a Consultant, he has gained practical experience in local government management as well as developing strategic and community plans in a number of different settings.
Geoff has extensive experience in land and property development project management feasibility and design analysis having provided advice to government, local government and private enterprise on a range of property developments, including residential, industrial and community developments.
Geoff has worked internationally in South Africa as an adviser to Ilembe District Municipality and more recently in Papua New Guinea as the policy and planning adviser to the Department of Works.
