Project Location: Strathalbyn
The Strathalbyn Swimming Complex requires a redevelopment to address a number of current issues. It will be accessible to the whole community including people of all ages and levels of fitness. The main aim is to provide a facility which can be used by schools, swimming clubs and the greater community, in a cohesive manner for the purposes of physical activity, entertainment and relaxation.
The total cost of the project is approximately $3M.
The fundraising challenge was to assist Council in gaining these funds by preparing project, business and community fundraising plans. Council received $2.37M Federal Funding in May 2009.
