Project Location: The Snuggery, Millicent
Wormswork is a waste management facility that uses worms to break down organic waste materials into soil-rejuvenating worm castings. The Wormswork expansion project involves the introduction of an on-site education facility to increase tourism and educate groups on organic waste management techniques.
The project also involves an expansion of the entire facility in order for 36,000 additional tonnes of waste to be diverted from landfill. This includes the introduction of two extra organic bio-converters to increase production by 33%.
The total cost of this project is $1,396,000.
